TextNag ("we", "us") is operated by TextNag. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Account info: phone number, email, time zone, chosen check-in schedule and coach personality.
Goal & conversation data: the goals you set and the SMS messages you exchange with TextNag.
Billing: handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card number.
Technical: basic logs (message delivery status, timestamps) needed to operate the service.

2. How we use it

To send and personalize your check-in messages (our core service).
To generate your weekly report.
To process billing and provide support.
We use third-party AI providers to generate message content. Your messages are sent to these providers solely to produce responses and are not used by us to train AI models.
Safety: if a message indicates a mental-health crisis, we may automatically pause coaching for a period and reply with crisis-line information. This processing is used only for safety purposes.

3. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. (carrier-required clause)

4. Service providers We share data only with vendors needed to run TextNag: SMS delivery (Twilio), payments (payment processor), hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and AI response generation. Each receives only what is necessary.

5. Retention & deletion We keep your data while your account is active. Text DELETE or email hello@textnag.com to delete your account and conversation history; we complete deletion within 30 days except records we must keep for billing/legal compliance.

6. Your rights Depending on your location (e.g., California, EU/UK) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact hello@textnag.com.

7. Not for minors. TextNag is for users 18+.

8. Changes. We'll post updates here and note the effective date.
